Happy Fall!

These past few days have felt more like Winter, than Fall, but the pups are able to catch some rays in the afternoon and they love the warmth on their bodies. They also like curling up with Mom on the couch to watch a show. Since Mom has been sick, we've been seriously lacking our walks; hope Mom has more energy tomorrow!

Happy Halloween!

WOW! Time flies!

Time sure does fly these days! It feels like winter today. The pups are I are all nice and cozy at home today after a nice long walk in the blustery wind! Petey loved chasing all the leaves as they blew on down the street past him, and Olive just wanted to follow the sidewalk and get back home for her treat! The pups are all nice and warm in their bed now!

Enjoy the cooler weather and batten down the hatches for our first incoming storm!

All Puppies Sold!

Hi!

I am happy to report that all of Miss Olive's puppies have been sold to great owners! Petey will remain with us, and is happy to be with his Mama! Petey is the most mellow puppy ever, but he loves to go for walks with Olive and run her off the sidewalk! He's still learning to walk using a couplet, but he is always ready to go!

Last One Left!

Here's Lily!
She's the last one left who needs a home where she can be #1! She is full of energy and can be very sweet and docile, too! She reminds me so much of Olive, when she was a pup! She looks just like her! Anyone know of a good home for her, let me know at frenchies4us@gmail.com

28 July 2009

Only 1 girl left!

Sold Stripe the male last night and Bat this morning! I think they will be very happy in their new homes. Both homes do not have other pets, which is ideal! Good luck to the new owners!

I have Lily left if anyone is interested!

4 month old puppies for sale!

It's been ages since I've updated my Blog; just so busy with the pups, and a trip to Europe! I am back and the puppies are ready for their new homes! They are very sweet, and cute, and are so mellow. You'd think they weren't puppies! They are getting big, about 12-14lbs. Here are some new pics from this morning after their bath. I still have 1 male and 2 females to sell. The black and white pied one is NOT for sale. The others are seal brindle with white chests. Very cute and very loving!

29 May 2009

Puppy Update!

The puppies are now 9 weeks old and as feisty as ever, but today "Cutie Pie" was taken to her new home to live with Olive's STUD, Milton and his family! The only thing I can say is this is a good thing, since we will still be in contact via email and Facebook, and hopefully for a visit or two in the near future. This one was our favorite girl and we know she will be well loved, and well taken care of. Good luck, Cutie Pie!

First collar!

Here he is...almost 8 weeks old, no name, but has a new green collar that he is sporting around in! He didn't mind it too much.

Please vote and help us to decide upon a name for this little cutie!

The pups are 7 weeks old today!

Boy! Time sure does fly by! The pups are already 7 weeks old and I haven't posted anything since May 2nd! Bad blogger, I know!

The pups are sooo cute and rambunctious these days. I sometimes put them out in a pen in the backyard and they really love that!

They are eating puppy food; Eukanuba small breed to be exact, and they love it. I started them on it at around 4 weeks along with mother's milk. They still get mama about once a day, if they are lucky! The pups still like her, but Ollie does not like being attacked and mauled to death!! The poor thing has lost sooooo much weight and I feed her at least 5 times a day!! Hopefully, she will gain back her weight soon!

Be sure to check out the pups on the puppy cam at www.justin.tv/frogdog4me
Ciao for now!

Getting cuter every day!

Hi there!
On Thursday, the puppies turned 5 weeks! Boy, time flies. Only about 5 more weeks to go, and they they will be will their new mommies and daddies! I'm sure we will all be sad, but happy for them.

Right now they are sleeping, they must have been up all night! By the look of all the soiled newspapers this monring, I think they were!! lol

Their ears are starting to pop up, one here and there. It really looks funny! But, they sure are growing into plumper and longer sausages!

Be sure to check out www.justin.tv to check out their progress before they are gone!!

The Puppies Are Growing Fast!

I can't believe how fast the pups have grown; I've been so busy with them, that I haven't even had time to update my Blog! What a bad blogger!!

The puppies are now running and jumping around; they still have their ears down, but they are really cute and playful.

They have started a bit of solid kibble with water and lap it up a bit before Mom comes in to feed them properly!

Eyes are Opening!

As of yesterday, 2 pups have their eyes open. Today, there is one more with his open!
Very exciting!

Puppy update!

Hello!

Mom and babies are doing very well! Olive is a very attentive mama, and stays with her pups to feed them often throughout the day! She is also eating a lot! 3-4 times a day! The pups are getting chubbier and some weigh about 14oz and some weigh over a pound! Just in a week!

Soon they should open their eyes! Can't wait for that!
Until next time!
Be sure to check out our Puppy Cam at www.justin.tv/frogdog4me to see them live!

Pure contentment!

Mom and her babies on the first day!

here are the first 4!

So busy and tired!

We've been sooooo busy after the birth of Olive and Milton's 6 babies! They eat and sleep and eat and sleep and squeak! They are so cute. I just haven't had the time to upload a picture, nor call or email everyone back about the details, so please be patient with me!
Lack of sleep, makes for a scattered "Grandma" so bear with me.

All is well and they are growing chubby already. Olive is a great Mom and stays with her babies constantly. She is also very ravenous and thirsty from all the nursing, but boy did she lose the weight she gained, fast! Wish it were like that for us women!!

Anyway, I'll try to get a pic up soon, but in the meantime, check out the puppy cam at www.justin.tv/frogdog4me

A bientot!

26 March 2009

Two More!

We just had two more. The final count is now 6 puppies (3 girls, 3 boys).

4's A Good Number!

We've now have 4 healthy puppies! Two boys, and two girls. 3 seal brindle (1boy, 2 girls), and 1 black and white pied (boy). We think it's pretty much done now. Pics soon!

Three's Company

Now we've got 3! It is another brindle one but its a girl this time. The other ones are doing well and we are getting the third one stimulated. More Later.
~Lauren (the daughter)

They're a comin' !!

So far there are 2. Both males. One looks like Olive, black and white on the chest, the other a black and white pied (spotted like a cow). Very exciting and so cute. Pics later!

Getting used to the whelping box!

So now she's getting used to the whelping box and nesting with the towels and piddle pad liners.

When she pants, she looks like she's smiling! She gets energized, then tired.

25 March 2009

She's starting to pant!

Ok, so the panting has started and it will be about 12-24 hours that we should have a delivery! WOW!! Exciting, but we won't get much sleep tonight or for the next few weeks! Oh! I'm tired already!!

I Think She's About Ready!!

Olive is getting really close! She was trying to nest all day, would not eat, and is acting kind of nervous. I wouldn't be surprised if they arrive sometime tomorrow!!
We'll see!
Pray for us that all goes well!

22 March 2009

Still Waiting!

We are still waiting for Ollie's pups to arrive. Since the date was pushed back by a week or so, the earliest would be tomorrow and the latest, I think, would be this Friday! She is getting wider and wider, and I can see movement and ripples on her sides! Very exciting!! She's still able to go on some pretty long walks, but she is ravenous, and eats often throughout the day!

More later...

Still Waiting!

16 March 2009

Poll Results!

For those of you who voted 4, you are most likely correct! The Ultrasound definitely showed 4, but the doctor said he wouldn't rule out 5! I guess you are K-9 savvy! I'm glad she is not having 8 or 9! That would be tooooo many! Though one of my daughters said she could "only have 9, since she has 9 nipples to suck from!" But, 4 is very doable!

Yesterday, Olive was feeling under the weather, she wouldn't eat, not even treats, and when she did try to eat, she just threw it up! I guess dogs get morning sickness, too! :(

Today, though, she is back to her happy and hungry self! I guess the yoghurt helped her system, and she loves it!

That's it, and thanks for voting!!

11 March 2009

Trip to the vet!

So Olive went to the vet today to have and X-ray and Ultrasound! The X-ray was not conclusive, but the Ultrasound showed some puppies heads, spines and heartbeats! It was cool to see; just like going to the Doctor for a woman's Ultrasound! Very cool, indeed!

Though, it looks like she is due around the 23rd-25th, rather than the 20th; so we still have a bit of time to prepare!

Take the poll and try to guess how many she may have! (just a note: she came from a litter of 10!) Good luck!

06 March 2009

About 2 weeks to go!

Hi there! Olive is due around the 20th of March, that's only 2 weeks to get ready! Hopefully, the whelping box will be completed this weekend. If Olive is going to stay in there with her pups (rather than in my bed), she needs to get used to it!

She's been extra hungry and sleepy these past few days, but still enjoys some exercise in between the raindrops!

That's the latest update, feel free to comment. I'd love to hear from you! :}

26 February 2009

Nice to see the sun!

Olive is always happy to have a sunny day! She loves to sit out in the yard soaking up the sun. She also loves to go out for long walks, and is always ready to go! Yet, she does love an afternoon nap, especially with her Mama!

Sounds like alot more rain is on the way for the weekend. Luckily, we can walk under the Redwood trees in the park and not get wet!

Happy Thursday!

23 February 2009

Rain, rain and more rain!!

It rained all day today and yesterday, but we were finally able to get out for a walk! We got drizzled on a bit, but Miss Olive needed some excercise and fresh air! She's been sleeping alot; must be getting ready for those pups when they arrive next month. Her shape has not changed too much, but her teets are enlarging and her appetite has changed a bit. A bit more finicky!

That's it for now...ciao!

20 February 2009

Back from Pine Mtn

We are back from the mountains! Olive enjoyed sleeping by the roaring fires that we had. Gots lots of rain up there and had a great day of skiing. Fresh powder! Awesome!

Olive was happy to see LoLo back from DC.

More later...

11 February 2009

Sorry! It"s been sooo long!

I don't know what Olive and I have been doing, but we have been trying to stay warm and dry! Olive doesn't mind the rain too much, but she'd rather be sitting by the fire or heater!

It looks like she is pregnant, and should deliver some pups around March 19th or so! As if, I have nothing else to do!! But, I know they will be soooo cute!

So I will have to keep you posted!

Au revoir!

31 January 2009

No longer in heat!

Yeah, team! Olive is no longer in heat! After 22 days of bleeding dots all over the kitchen, she is done for now! Now we just have to wait and see if there are any little puppies in her tummy! Let's hope!

She is so happy that she can now sit on my lap once again, and maybe even sneak in my bed! We'll have to see! She will also be very happy to go riding in the car again! She LOVES that!

Keep you fingers crossed for some Frenchie pups!

26 January 2009

Off on holiday!

Hi!

Just returned from a weekend with the P's. Unfortunately, Miss Ollie was unable to attend and had to remain at home with her Daddy! She is still in heat and dripping all over the place! Hopefully, by the 28th, she will be all finished! It's so hard having a dog who cannot be on your lap or go for a car ride. I miss having her closer to me! But, this too shall pass...

20 January 2009

FrogDog Trivia!

Here's some trivia for you...I recently learned that there was a French Bulldog aboard the Titanic. We all know what happeened to that big boat! Well, the Frenchie was insured for $7,500. In 1910, that was a lot of money! Hey! In 2009, that's a nice chunk of change! Anyway, the dog did not make it and the insurance company paid the money to the remaining family!

I just wonder what the dog's name was...

Busy with Mating Season!

Sorry, I've not been on for some time. First, I was sick. I think Strep Throat! I have NEVER had a sore throat as painful as this one last week! I also had a fever to go with it. Did not go to the doctor, but I am pretty sure it was Strep! Man, was it a killer! I could not swallow without wincing! :( Much better today!

Anyway...while dealing with all that, Miss Olive has been busy with her playmate, Milton. They "tied the knot" twice, and may have one more chance at it! We figure if all goes well, we may be having some St. Patrick's Day frog dog puppies! As if I have nothing else do to with my life!

Ciao for now!

13 January 2009

Olive's in heat!

Hi there!

Olive went into heat for the second time in her short life ( she'll be 2 tomorrow!). Being is heat is such a fun job for me! It's like dealing with a child who is having her period for 3 weeks!! She is banished to her bed (not mine) or to her crate. Though she is very good when put in her place, she'd much rather be up on my lap or in my bed or on the couch! On the bright side, since she is somewhat restricted, she does get a lot more walks around the neighborhood, and with this great weather, she's quite happy!

08 January 2009

I gave Olive a bath today and now she smells so nice and clean. She is soo shiny and soft. She is such a good girl in the bath. She actually loves the warm water on her, then she really likes the blow dryer. But the best part of all is the "special" treat she gets after she is all dry. I, usually, give her some cheese! Being a Frenchie, she is really keen on Blue Cheese! Mmmmm!
Vive le bouldougue francais!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I hope everyone has a super 2009 full of fun and prosperity!
